Sports

As a sports fan, it has been a privilege to learn the industry and understand how strategic partnerships affect the greater community. Beginning my career as an assistant for the Atlanta Host Committee, I quickly developed a passion and skill for reaching broad audiences in a heartfelt way. Learning, developing, and applying transferable skills has aided me in successfully planning and executing impactful initiatives across the southern region.

Super Bowl LIII

The Atlanta Host Committee developed
Legacy 53 a multifaceted community
initiative that encompassed a capital
improvement project, youth engagement,
civil rights and social justice, sustainability,

and Business Connect. Although I participated in the planning and implementation of all initiatives, I was
particularly responsible for grant funding the
capital improvement project. Legacy 53
The project at Kennedy Park was a $2.5 million
restoration of Kennedy Park on the Westside
of Atlanta, adjacent to Hollis Innovation
Academy. Each year, the NFL matches the
Host Committee has $1 million to accomplish this
endeavor. Through strategic partnerships I
was able to raise $1.8 million to aid in this
renovation project that allowed additional
investment than originally slated.

MLK Day Of Service

In Partnership with the Martin Luther King Jr.
Center and Bernice King, daughter of Martin
Luther King Jr., the Host Committe was able to
shine a light on their initiative by garnering
media attention ahead of the championship
game. Displaying the NFL's commitment to

social justice.

2020 NCAA Men's Final Four

The Year of Basketball" was coined to
describe the cohesive yearlong community
focus leading up to the men's semifinal and
championship games. This initiative focused
on bringing fun interactive basketball themed
activations to the greater Atlanta area.
Through this experience I assisted with the
Tip-Off Press Conference and produced over
30 unique activations reaching thousands of

participants across Georgia.

Business Connect- NFL Diversity Supplier Program

Year after year, the NFL strives to invigorate local economies, which is why Business Connect was introduced. The Diversity Supplier Program provides an opportunity for small, local businesses to bid on Super Bowl-related contracts. The program also includes workshops and seminars that prepare selected entities for the bidding process. During the application process, I vetted over 1,100 local vendor applications and developed a resource guide with 200 qualifying vendors. This process made it easy for the NFL and its counterparts to source small local businesses to bid on opportunities related to the championship game and surrounding sanctioned events. As a result of this program, over $13 million was poured into the local economy, which was the highest in program history.

Urban Food Forest At Browns Mill

The Urban Food Forest at Browns
Mill is a food garden on the
Westside of Atlanta in an area that
was considered a "food desert"
due to the lack of access to
nutritional food options. Thanks to
the help of NFL Green we were able
to bring this food forest to life and
members of the local community
can enjoy freshly grown herbs and

produce free of cost.

2023 NCAA Men's Final Four

The community events related to the 2023
men's championship games were highly
successful. Third graders across 11 schools
districts within the Houston area read over
60 million minutes! 20 "Literacy Tours"
were produced to bring awareness to the
competition. Once the bracket-style
competition commenced six live
Announcement shows were produced in
partnership with KHOU11 to announce
schools as they advanced throughout the

rounds of competition.

Every year the NCAA embarks upon a
Legacy Project. A partnership with
Unilever's Degree led to a $100,00 court
restoration of the historic Blue Triangle
Community Center in Houston's Third

Ward.
